ASSET PLANNING MANAGER, TRANSPORT FOR NSW
Lucio Favotto has over 20 years extensive experience in infrastructure maintenance and asset management. He has been instrumental in the development and implementation of an Asset Management Framework across Transport for NSW, and provides specialised asset management advice to Contract Managers across over 750 maintenance contracts.
Recently Lucio was presented with the Social and Environmental Award by the Asset Management Council 2018 Excellence Awards. The excellence award recognised TfNSW for the establishment of an Asset Management Community of Practice, where operations and maintenance contractors share knowledge and improvements in asset management. Lucio’s current role provides TfNSW assurance that assets are maintained in a safe, reliable and sustainable manner to deliver the service outcomes for today and into the future.
Lucio spent 10 years as Asset Planning and Performance Manager for RailCorp, where he managed a $1 billion infrastructure and fleet maintenance program, while coordinating a $1.1 billion capital program. During this time Lucio coordinated the implementation of RailCorp’s Total Asset management System. This included development of asset and corridor strategies and a framework for prioritisation of maintenance and capital work, while balancing cost, risk and asset performance. In 2011 the Asset Management Council awarded RailCorp a gold metal award for best practice in asset management.
