CEO, Institute of Quality Asset Management
Tom is the CEO of the Institute of Quality Asset Management (IQ-AM) and a Director and AMBoK team member for the Asset Management Council. He is also a founding member of the ISO committee that developed the ISO 55000/1/2 Standards and ISO TF14, which included reviewing the overarching template and guideline for all management system standards.
Tom has more than 35 years’ professional experience in technical, management, training and consulting roles in asset management, regulatory compliance and auditing, development of regulatory compliance frameworks, process and organisational benchmarking, strategic planning, operations and maintenance, risk, emergency and program management.
He has applied his asset management skills in utilities, industry associations, regulators, mining, defence, primary and tertiary health care, roads departments, local government, state treasuries and other central government agencies and think tanks, child care, food, chemical and oil and gas industries. He has also mentored multiple organisations in the journey to best appropriate practice in Asset Management, one of which achieved the first Accredited Certification to ISO55001 in Australia.
Tom is the principal developer of IQ-AM’s competency based Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma qualifications in Asset Management, is a qualified trainer, and has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Asset Management and Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering.
